How to install a double pole wall mount thermostat to your baseboard heater.
Route supply wires to the thermostat wiring box.
Connect the remaining thermostat wire typically marked t1 or load to the same color supply wire feeding the baseboard heater.
Connect one supply wire to one thermostat wire typically marked l1.
Connect the white supply wire coming from the circuit breaker to the same color supply wire feeding to the baseboard heater.

Then remove the thermostat from the wall.

Attach the other hot wire to your device.
Connect the white wire from the thermostat to one of the baseboard heater wires.
One end of your hot wire is a line wire which means that it comes off of the power lines and carries power.
After you have disconnected splice a left side or splice b right side proceed to the next step.
The other end of the hot wire is a load wire meaning that it flows to your baseboard heater.

Connect the other wire from the baseboard heater to the white wire that runs back to the service panel.
In the baseboard heater connect the black supply wire the wire from the service panel to the black wire that runs to the thermostat.
