Cut a piece of straight downspout with a hacksaw according to your measurement. This is the thing that connects the gutter and downspout together so it is important that it is placed correctly and securely. Assemble the straight piece into house elbow and secure with one sheet metal screw to the front and back side of the elbow. Make sure the outlet fits well in the cutout then it s time to drill baby drill to get ready to rivet.

Step 2 drill four holes in each corner of the outline you made of the sleeve drill one hole. Drill through the side of the downspout and into the connector. Now drill holes for the rivets through the existing holes in the outlet and through the gutter. And you basically snip out the circle for the downspout to go through and then you seal everything in place with rivets and caulk.
