Make sure the carriage is engaged.

You can also disconnect the sensors altogether but doing this will prevent most garage doors from working.
If the door does not close completely without hesitation.
Look for small led lights on the sensors.
If both the red source and green sensor lights are on and not blinking then the door mechanism is working properly.
If your sensors or garage door motor is blinking or your door doesn t close it s a sign you could have faulty sensors.
If you find the lights turned off in one or both the sensors it indicates that there is a problem in power supply.
If the problem persists check to see if the red safe t beam led indicator is blinking.
Check for and clear any obstructions in its way.
You will find that the door will only move an inch or so in the close direction and reverse.
If just the red source led is out unplug the mechanism check the wiring and plug it back in.
The transmitters remotes will not work to close the garage door.
If not re engage it.
If one or both of the lights are off check the fuses breakers and plugs for problems.
For safety purposes do check the sensors of the garage doors are working correctly or not.
Luckily you can set most automatic garage doors to a manual mode to bypass the sensors.
If it is be sure that the lenses are mounted five to six inches from the floor on either side of the garage door opening.

Check to see if the emergency release cord was pulled recently check to see if the screw inside the rail is turning.
