You can also disconnect the sensors altogether but doing this will prevent most garage doors from working. If the door does not close completely without hesitation. Luckily you can set most automatic garage doors to a manual mode to bypass the sensors. If it is be sure that the lenses are mounted five to six inches from the floor on either side of the garage door opening.
